Is it possible to know someone too well? If you spent nearly every waking minute with someone do you think you’d actually start to read their minds?
I think my best friend relationship may have reached that point.
The minute my friend asked me “you know what I’d do if I was a millionaire?”, I knew out of all the infinite possible answers in the whole wide world, she’d want a replica Hogwarts built for her.
And me of course. Obviously I’d be there with her.
And while I can’t exactly speak for her (well ok, maybe I can), whenever I hear friendship themed songs (ie Queen – You’re My Best Friend) I imagine a montage in my head of all our fabulous friend times:
That’s us crumping at zumba; there we are at your Mehndi night before your wedding; that’s us shoving our faces with popcorn, tacos, Golden Gaytimes, milkshakes, Berry donuts (bit of a theme there obviously); we’re finding our home in Spain, going Swayze crazy for the millionth time; almost falling off chairs in Morocco spying on men, we’re dressing up, we’re baring all (and circling every mark); and dancing, dancing, dancing, always.
So while some may find it weird, too close, too much info, all I can say is YES, we should hold hands next time we sing a duet at karaoke, that’s exactly what I was thinking!
I’ve been with you such a longtime… thanks for being my sunshine!
Love you xx
